Luis Amodio Herrera

A Civil Engineer, who graduated with honors from LaSalle University, Luis founded Grupo CAABSA with his brother Mauricio in 1979. Luis has focused on managing and institutionalizing the Group, while implementing policies to support sustainable growth. In May 2020, Luis and Mauricio acquired a majority stake in the Spanish Group OHLA. As Chairman and CEO of OHLA, Luis is responsible for formulating the long term strategy of the company, which operates in 27 countries including the USA, Canada and across the European Union.

Mauricio Amodio Herrera

A Civil Engineer, who graduated with honors from LaSalle University, Mauricio founded Grupo CAABSA with his brother Luis in 1979. Today, the Group is composed of 30 Companies, structured in four Divisions, which include construction, real estate, concessions, and services. Mauricio’s focus on business development and originating growth opportunities was key in making the Group what it is today. He has lead several growth initiatives, as well as company-wide training programs. After acquiring a majority stake in OHLA, along with his brother in May 2020, Mauricio has already originated numerous opportunities for growth in new markets to support continued business expansion.

Rodrigo Amodio Giombini

Strategy Director of Grupo CAABSA, one of the most respected construction holding companies in Mexico. Headquartered in Mexico City, Grupo CAABSA has infrastructure projects in 6 countries in Central and North America including some of the biggest developments in Mexico.

John Chambers

A career investment banker with over 25 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Corporate Governance.   From 2006 to 2018 John served as the President and then CEO of FirstEnergy Capital Corp., at the time Canada’s largest Energy focused investment bank.  During John’s tenure, the firm completed over 1,000 financings and executed over $100 billion in M&A transactions.  John also played a lead role in building FirstEnergy’s office in London and negotiating and managing the firm’s partnership with Société Générale.  Throughout his career he was active in financing and advising Canadian Energy companies in Latin-America. 

John is a former chair of the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC), where he sat on the Board for seven years.

Russ Jackson

Canadian businessman with more than 15 years of direct LATAM experience. Successfully built and exited 3 LATAM focused energy companies to date, located in Colombia and Mexico. Has extensive knowledge on doing business in LATAM and has developed a strong network of relationships across multiple sectors throughout the Americas.

Francisco Jose Sarti Perez
Managing Director- Head of Investments

Francisco has more than 25 years of experience in different areas of corporate finance, having reached the position of financial director or CFO in companies such as Grupo ICA (“ICA”), Isolux Infrastructure (now Roadis) and Aleatica (formerly OHL Mexico). He is Managing Partner of Consultoria Financiera y en Proyectos de Infraestructura, S.C. (“COFIPRIN”).

 

Within his professional career, his experience stands out in the closing and management of bank and stock market financings, corporate and project finance, including the issuance of bonds and stock certificates in Mexico and abroad for a total value of $55 billion pesos; public offerings of shares; investor relations; financial planning; and operation of derivative financial instruments. He has been Investor Relations Officer (IRO) at ICA and at Aleatica. Additionally, his experience includes the areas of treasury, financing and investment, as well as the divestment of non-strategic assets.

 

He has been an associate of IMEF since 2013 and current president of the National Technical Infrastructure Committee of such institute, as well as a member of the National Institute of Investor Relations (“INARI”) since 2018.

 

He is an Industrial and Systems Engineer from Tecnologico de Monterrey, has an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and EGADE from Tecnologico de Monterrey, as well as postgraduate studies in Strategy and Financial Planning, and Taxes.
